Fuddy Duddy is a resident of the Douglas County Georgia Animal Services shelter and was found pregnant and not in the best of shape. On January 5 at 8:40pm, the call went out that mama Fuddy Duddy was ready to give birth. According to the DCAS staff, here is how it went down:

By 9:40, 11 staff members, 1 volunteer, and our amazing vet Dr. Griffin made it to the building. Surgery was prepped, towels were in the dryer and DCAS was ready.

For those that have been following our sweet momma Fuddy-Duddy, we have good news! The puppies have arrived! All 11 of them. Every single one fat and happy.

A huge thank you to the staff and volunteers that were able to rush in after-hours to assist with an emergency c-section. **These puppies will not be available for 8-12 weeks. While we will not be doing pre-adoptions, keep an eye on our stories for super cute puppy updates! **

Mama dog had a c-section and big litter! DCAS then reached out to the Humane Society because Fuddy Duddy, obviously, doesn’t have enough nipples to keep 11 puppies nourished, plus she hasn’t always had the best of care herself.

We were ready to help and immediately set up a fundraiser to cover the $300 needed for additional supplies to keep this little family healthy. Within minutes we had exceeded the goal for Fuddy Duddy and her pups.

This is why we do what we do and we couldn’t do any of it without YOU! But, we aren’t done.

Fuddy Duddy will need to be spayed so this doesn’t happen to her again. All 11 of her pups will need to be spayed and neutered. Your continuing support makes that happen. We thank you.
