Spay/Neuter Fund

Douglas County Humane Society (DCHS) has partnered with West Georgia Spay Neuter Clinic (WGSNC) to assist families with spay / neuter of their animals.

To assist Douglas County residents, DCHS will pay a portion of the cost to spay / neuter directly to WGSNC when you get your animal spayed / neutered. Residents can purchase additional low-cost services, for example, heartworm prevention, flea and tick prevention, additional shots, at time of service.

Next Steps to get your animal spayed or neutered.

Douglas County Humane Society partners with the West Georgia Spay Neuter Clinic to provide low cost spay neuter services to members in our community.  The next step is to contact WGSNC and make an appointment.  Tell them that you were "referred by the Douglas County Humane Society" to receive assistance.

Contact information and pricing is located in the link below.

We also provide direct funds so dogs and cats are spayed and neutered prior to being adopted through Douglas County Animal Services. Reducing pet overpopulation directly reduces the suffering of companion animals in our community, as does only adopting out animals who have been spayed and neutered. Please help if you can.

TRAP NEUTER RETURN - In accordance with the guidelines to receive help, DCHS will pay WGSNC directly for surgery, rabies vaccine and ear tip for feral cats of Douglas County residents. Any other services are at the expense of the owner/caretaker.
